Attractions
Introducing a brand new 22.7 acre water park that occupies the former home of Wyandot Lake and then some! The park features 15 state of the art water slides, a wave pool, an action river, a lazy river, private cabanas, a kiddie play pool and a whole lot more.
 
 
Wild Tides – Take on one of the seven different waves at this 544,500-gallon wave pool with a maximum depth of six feet. Waves can reach up-to four feet high.
 

Croctail Creek – Take a ride on the relaxing side in this lazy river containing 203,000 gallons of water, 850 feet in length, and just a little under 32 inches in depth.
 
 
Roaring Rapids – With nine special features, the action river is sure to surprise guests at every turn. Over 570,000 gallons of water roar 1,500 feet at 32 inches deep and an average of 17 feet wide.

Barracuda Bay – Come and play in this 18,000-square-foot custom pool divided into three interactive play areas, including a four-and-a-half story tree house with a hundred different gadgets, gizmos and slides. Watch out for the large barrel that is overhead! This barrel dumps 500 gallons of water every few minutes on all who dare to visit Barracuda Bay. Guests must be 36 inches tall to enter or accompanied by an adult.

Katoomba Lagoon – An area just for the little tykes, this 4,000 square foot water playground features 12 marine animal play structures and includes an 11,350 gallon pool that is 12-14 inches deep.

Sea Splash
– This tower is home to the Slippery Seals, Sea Snakes and Sea Tubes.

Slippery Seals – No need for a raft on these three body slides! Starting from a 63 foot tall tower, guests slide thru the 310 foot slide containing portions that are enclosed in darkness. Guests must be 48 inches tall to ride.

Sea Snakes
– Two one- or two-person raft slides starting from a 51 foot tower challenge riders for 200 feet with the premier attraction being a bowl shaped slide section where the rider slides around the side of the bowl in a circular motion. Guests will be required to transport rafts on their own. Guests must be 48 inches tall to ride.
Weight Restrictions: Maximum of 250 pounds for single tube (1 rider) & Maximum of 400 pounds total for double tube (2 riders)

Sea Tubes – Plummeting on a one or two person raft from 51 feet, guests experience the many challenges that the Sea tube offers including a portion of the slide enclosed in darkness. Visitors will be required to transport rafts on their own. Guests must be 48 inches tall to ride.
Weight Restrictions: Maximum of 250 pounds for single tube (1 rider)

Cyclone – Dropping from a 55-foot start to reach unmatched speeds of 20 mph, this extreme four-person raft cruises into the largest enclosed reducing -radius tunnel in the world. This is sure to be the most exciting and popular ride in the park. The Cyclone stretches 209 feet in length. Raft transport is complimentary and starts from the same tower as the Tahitian Twister. Guests must be 48 inches tall to ride.
Weight Restrictions: Maximum of 700 pounds for cloverleaf tube (2-4 riders)

Tahitian Twister – Bring the whole family and start from 55 feet in the air on a five-person raft to experience a journey in total darkness through a series of acceleration drops, vortex loops, back to back curves and a 360 degree turn before arriving in the pool below. The slide is 512 feet in length. Raft transport is complimentary and starts from the same tower as the Cyclone. Guests must be 48 inches tall to ride or at least 42 inches tall and accompanied by an adult.
Weight Restrictions: Maximum of 800 pounds for raft (2-5 riders)

Dolphin Dash – Starting from a 49-foot tower, up-to six guests can compete in this head-first, mat racing, high speed attraction. This slide has a length of 310 feet and is longer than a football field. Guests must be 42 inches tall to ride.

Island Pizza

Cabanas
Cabanas are located on the perimeter of the wave pool. One-day rental is $75 Monday thru Thursday and $125 Friday thru Sunday and holidays.

Each 16 x 16 Cabana includes:
  • fans to keep a cool breeze going at all times for your comfort,
  • a small private patio,
  • three lounge chairs,
  • a dining table with 4 chairs,
  • small storage ottoman,
  • discounted food and beverage menu and
  • a personal cabana server to take your food and beverage orders.

The reservation line voicemail is checked twice daily, once before the park opens and again once the park is closed. Calls for reservations are returned and confirmed.
 
Cabanas are first come first serve and CANNOT be reserved via phone the day of the reservation.  Meaning you cannot reserve a Cabana on Monday for Monday.  Once the day of your visit arrives they are first come first serve to walk in traffic only.

Rules and Regulations
Dress Code: Any clothing or swim wear deemed offensive by management will not be permitted. Swimsuits are required on all water attractions. A swimsuit is clothing designed for swimming and must have a lining. Thong swim wear is not permitted. Other clothing that is unacceptable: street clothes, cut offs or shorts with metal objects such as zippers, snaps or buckles. T-shirts and/or eye wear are not permitted on certain rides. Shirt, shorts and shoes must be worn in all non-attraction areas.

Swim Diaper Policy: Diaper aged children and diaper dependent adults must wear a protective outerwear covering designed specifically for use in the aquatic settings. The protective covering must be made of material that will not allow water to penetrate and have elasticity at the legs and waist to prohibit any liquid to pass from outside or inside out. Infant swim diapers may be purchased at the Gift Shop.

Food & Beverage Policy: Food, drink or alcoholic beverages (Ohio code number 4301.62) of any type may not be brought into the waterpark. Exceptions are only for medical purposes and baby formula or baby food in non-glass containers. Under no circumstances may glass containers be brought into the park. Coolers and picnic baskets are restricted to the public areas inside the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium.

Height Requirements:
The height levels, which are established by the state of Ohio as well as the manufacturer of the ride, are posted at each attraction. These height requirements are for your safety and will be enforced by the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium and Zoombezi Bay personnel.   

Line Jumping: Line jumping/line cutting or holding places in line is not permitted. Guests are not permitted to save places in line and return for any reason. Guests who violate this policy may be removed from the property without a refund.
   
Park Announcements:
The public address system is used for general park information and weather reports only. Requests made by park guests for any type of announcement will be declined.
   
Park Code of Conduct: Open fires, grills, glass containers, bicycles, skateboards and other skating equipment, umbrellas, lounge chairs, radios, thermoses, tape and CD players (other than Walkman types) are not permitted. Disrespectful conduct or behavior such as vulgarity, loitering, intoxication, line jumping, theft, excessive rowdiness and other actions that negatively impact our guests or staff will not be tolerated. The behavior will result in ejection from the park without a refund. All rules and height restrictions must be obeyed at all times. Firearms are not permitted on park property. Park code of conduct applies in all areas of the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium complex.

Safety: For your safety, personal rafts and flotation devices are not permitted to be brought into the park. Guests with certain body proportions involving height and/or weight may be denied the opportunity to ride attractions where safety restraints will not operate as designed. Please ask a ride attendant before waiting in line if you have any questions. All guests will be subject to bag searches upon entering the park.

Smoking: The Columbus Zoo and Aquarium Complex is a smoke-free environment. Guests cannot smoke anywhere in the park except for designated smoking areas. Consult your map for details.

Supervision of Children: Children age 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult for admission.

Re-admittance: Guests wishing to leave the park and return the same day need to have their hand stamped at the exit turnstiles.

Season Pass FAQ
Q: Can I purchase a season pass the day of my visit?
A: Yes, season passes can be purchased at the front entrance and will include your admission for the day.

Q: Do you sell vouchers/gift certificates for season passes?
A: Yes, vouchers for season passes are available at the entrance of the Zoo or they can be purchased online

Q: For how long is my season pass good?
A: Zoombezi Bay season passes are good during the summer operating season of the year purchased.

Q: Can I get into the Zoo with my Zoombezi Bay Season Pass?
A: Yes, but, Zoombezi Bay season passes are valid for Zoo admission during the regular Zoombezi Bay operating season only.

Q: When will I receive my season pass card?
A: To acquire a Zoombezi Bay photo ID, a valid voucher must be presented to the membership/season pass processing center at the Columbus Zoo. The center is curently open for Zoombezi Bay season pass processing.
When ordering via mail, please allow 10 days for voucher delivery. If you do not receive your voucher in a timely manner please contact the membership/season pass processing center at (614) 724-3489. If you purchase your membership online, you will be given a voucher at time of purchase.

Q: What happens if I lose my season pass?
A: A new season pass can be obtained from the membership/season pass processing center at the Columbus Zoo after presenting a valid photo ID. Replacement cards are $5.

Q: Do season pass holders receive a discount at the gift shops?
A: Yes, Zoombezi Bay season pass holders receive a discount at both Zoombezi Bay and Columbus Zoo and Aquarum gift shops.
